Trekking in Bhutan, treks in Bhutan

It is the unbelievable natural splendour not to mention the remote and adventurous nature of trekking in Bhutan which makes Bhutan an undisputed paradise for adventure seekers. It is one of the few places in the world where you could trek for days on end without encountering any human habitation or even other trekkers. Every year, the number of trekkers arriving in Bhutan increases significantly. We don't have to guess why. Trekking in Bhutan and unmatched trysts with nature are indeed one and the same thing!

Trekking in Bhutan with a Touch of Style and Class

The beautiful hill-locked country is known universally for its solitary trails leading through the Himalayan wilderness which contains some of the most exotic species of flora and fauna. As many as twenty eight scenic routes are currently open to trekkers. From a simple one-day long trek to the popular six-day Druk Path Trek as well as the incredible 21-day Snowman Trek, the country has a trek to suit everyone's interest and personal preference.

Standing by to Address all your Bhutan Travel Needs

Bhutan's #1 travel operator Yetis & Dragons Bhutan Travel Agency recommends several individual treks for you to consider depending on your trekking experience and background. Here are a few important tips on how to select the right trek and prepare for it:

While trekking in Bhutan, you simply need to carry the bare essentials with you. The rest of the equipment, which is usually not more than 15 kg, will be carried on horse/yak backs.

You will be accommodated in a two-person tent complete with foam pads serving as mattresses. Although rugged, your living environment will be both safe and comfortable.

Your companions, trekking guides, animals and cooks will camp close by and you'll be served hot meals daily in a dining tent. Bhutan's landscape demands more than the usual number of ascents and descents in a day and hence you can be on the move for 8-9 hours. However, you will take scheduled breaks and hydrate yourself regularly.

Yetis & Dragons Bhutan Travel Agency will arrange for all the necessary equipment such as tents, camp site gear and other basics. We ask that you bring your own sleeping bag and other important items. We have provided you with a list too.

The Perfect Seasons for Trekking in Bhutan
